ClearMode Technologies consist of these modules:

Discovery Storefront
The Discovery Storefront is a complete, turnkey solution to create and deploy WAP, Web and client content storefronts that enable access to access to SMS, MMS, J2ME, Streaming, Smart Phone and WAP content. Built on standard components and adhering to open APIs, this managed service provides easy integration with a wide range of internal and external, free and premium content sources. Content and media providers can easily integrate services that provide operators with a wide range of internal and external, free and premium content and results in a visually appealing content discovery experience for the consumer. The storefronts support relevant discovery, personalization and consumer self-care.

Content Catalog
The ClearMode Content Catalog is a central repository for content services that enables operators, media and brand companies to organize services into categories. It houses content descriptions, pricing options, non-repudiation requirements, bundling options and revenue distribution agreements providing a complete solution to content management.

Payment Gateway
The Payment Gateway provides a complete set of functions to manage user-authentication, authorization, price books with customizable price plans, revenue sharing, clearing, settlement, dispute resolution, and customer self-care. Payment options available include Bill-to-Phone™, which allows operators to integrate charges for premium services into their existing prepaid or postpaid infrastructure, stored value accounts and credit card systems.

Content Gateway
The ClearMode Content Gateway provides seamless access to a operator’s SMSC and MMSC enabling support for both MO and MT messages. If the content provider directs an unsolicited MT message to the consumer, the gateway verifies that the consumer has set permissions to allow the unsolicited event be routed to the device. Additionally, if there is a push charge associated with the service, the Content Gateway determines if the consumer has approved the charge and then triggers the appropriate billing event. The Content Gateway also supports the routing of alerts to device resident J2ME and SPV clients.

Download Server
The ClearMode Download Server enables delivery of content to the consumer’s device and the completion of the purchase transaction ensuring that downloadable content is compatible with the consumer’s device. The Download Server supports the OMA 2.0 download protocol for all supported content types, including J2ME, ring tones, images and MP3s. The Download Server is pre-loaded with J2ME files, ring tones and images.

Customer Care
ClearMode’s Customer Care package provides a complete set of customer care utilities, providing operators and content providers with comprehensive access to current and historical consumer transactions, complete with a log of all charges and events against each customer’s account. Customer care professionals are able to rapidly address customer concerns to manage dispute resolution and quality of service issues.
